This is our handcrafted cutting board/chopping bowl board. These are made by hand from Black Walnut, Cherry, Persimmon, and Mulberry woods. These have a flat cutting board surface on one side, and a chopping or serving bowl on the other. Each has handles cut into each side for serving or charcuterie. Ships to your door with care instructions and a dishwasher safe Microban cutting board mat.All of the woods used in making these are kiln dried to prevent any cracking, warping, or splintering. We use all sustainably sourced woods in creating these. The Black Walnut, Cherry, Persimmon, and Mulberry woods all blend together beautifully to make quite an unusual, one-of-a-kind primitive board. These are sealed in all natural food safe oils and wax, so they are 100% food safe. These are 10 inches wide, 1.5 inches thick, and 18 inches long. You can use the flat side as a cutting board,or charcuterie board. The bowl side can be used for chopping bowl, serving bowl for chips and salsa, etc. The handles make for easy transport from kitchen to table.You can get the board alone or with one of our handcrafted Alaskan Ulu knives. The handles of our Alaskan Ulu knife are made from solid Black Walnut and the blades are U.S. 440c stainless steel. This type of steel is made for kitchen use and is slow to dull while resisting rust perfectly. This type of knife was used by Natives in Alaska for thousands of years. They used the knife for skinning game etc. This type of knife distributes pressure evenly over what you're cutting and applies 5x the force of a regular knife. It is perfect for dicing herbs, cilantro, onions, garlic, cheese, meats, etc. Just use it in a "rock and chop" motion for best results. These blades are extraordinarily sharp so please use caution.Whether alone or as a set, these make totally unique gifts for the Holidays or any occasion.
